Get Your Skin Ready For Raya
Salam Everyone. Hari Raya is such a special occasion – and no doubt that you would want to look your best. Now is the time to start prepping your skin to ensure it’s ready for the much awaited special occasion.
Don’t rely on heavy makeup to hide imperfections. Your skin needs to breathe. The better your complexion and skin texture, the better your Hari Raya makeup will look.
It’s worth a little prep work. Here’s what you can do
2 WEEKS BEFORE:
Let’s begin prepping your skin in the weeks leading up to the special occasion.
Stress can induce breakouts. Do your best to relax and not forgetting to eat a good and balanced diet. If you find zits forming, apply turmeric rice mask paste only on affected areas overnight and dab ice cubes on the zits the morning after.
My special top tip – Best if you can stay away from nuts, chocolate, milk, soda drinks and yogurt in this two weeks.
Treat yourself to a brightening face mask. Mix 2 tbsp of turmeric rice mask, 3 tbsp of Greek yogurt with a dash of lemon juice. This will be enough for multiple applications. Mix thoroughly and keep it refrigerated. Apply and leave on for 10 mins, three times a week. This is one of my favorite and effective face masks to use before Hari Raya or any special occasion. Your skin will have a healthy glow.
My special top tip – You can also add half teaspoon of cinnamon powder to give your skin an added boost.
Moisturise your skin. After the turmeric rice mask treatment, it’s time to hydrate your skin. Both the pearl and rose collagen mask will do just that. This mask will improve and give your skin a luminous glow with just one use. Apply daily and leave on for 10 to 15 mins.
My special top tip – Use cold water to mix the pearl or rose collagen mask powder for a refreshing treat.
It’s Hari Raya! Time to apply makeup, but not without some skin loving first.
Cleanse your skin. Moisturise with SPF moisturizer and apply primer – you’ll need your makeup to last - before you apply your make up. Voila! You’re going to look gorgeous.
My special top tip – Sephora sells a great range of good face primers!
